Filmmaking Journey Week 4
It’s been another week of research and sending out my screenplay for friends and family to read. My husband finally read it, and my older brother is about to read it.
In the meantime, some calligraphy materials arrived earlier this week, so I’ve been distracting myself with creating artwork. Since I’m mainly waiting for people to give me feedback, I thought it would be nice to work with my hands. I’ve created a postcard for a beautiful small town in Texas, and I’ve been cleaning up some illustrations for a new product for my Etsy shop (details to come).
I feel a little lame that I don’t have more to report for my “filmmaking journey” this week, but I think the beginning of any project is this tedious combination of researching and waiting to hear from your friends about their thoughts.
I did start teaching with VIPKID again this week, so the struggle is real to find time to research, and pretty much get anything done. I can’t stay up too late because I have to wake up at 4 in order to teach before my son gets up and my husband has to go to work. My son had a fever and an upper respiratory infection this week, so a lot of my focus/energy went to making sure he was getting the rest and nutrition he needed. Such is the crazy, wonderful life of a mom!
